Do you suffer from frequent headaches? Many people do and for a very good cause. Headaches may be a sign that the head has had enough! Too much thinking, tension, noise, lights and action do not help your mind. Anxiety and stress are other culprits of frequent headaches.

Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender essential oil has known properties which can help release the tension and pain caused by frequent headaches. Moreover, this essential oil can bring deep relaxation. Therefore, it is often used for Aromatherapy during meditation. Furthermore, lavender essential oil encourages compassion and gentleness which is an important stress reliever!

There are several ways to release tension and pain caused by your headache by using lavender essential oil on its own and in blends with other essential oils. One way is by massaging the temples with a massage blend of oils. Another way is experiencing Aromatherapy through inhalation!

Inhaling Lavender Essential Oil for Headache Relief!

By inhaling the aroma of an essential oil, it affects you in many ways! First, the smells are beneficial by taking your mind to a special place. Second, the tiny chemical elements that make up the molecules of essential oils are absorbed through the nasal membranes and can relax your nervous system, make you feel more alert, help with pain or tension, and improve your mood!

The best method for inhaling essential oils is through warm steam in a small space. This method will give you the maximum benefits in the least amount of time. To quickly create steam, place one liter of boiling water in a heat retaining bowl, add six drops of lavender essential oil to the surface of the water, then inhale the vapors for a few minutes. You can place a towel over your head and around your face to keep the steam in a concentrated area. After, if there is remaining oil on the surface, add a little more boiling water and repeat until you have inhaled all of the essential oil.
