We all want to be in a good mood every day, but sometimes with our busy lifestyles, it’s a hard feat to accomplish. It isn’t impossible, however! It turns out that a lot of it has to do with how we think ─ good thoughts lead to a better mindset, which means a better day! Along with thinking in a positive way, there are several actions that we can take, as well, to brighten up our days!
Here are 7 Ways to Make Your Day Great ~ Every Day!
1. Live in the now!
Living in the now is sometimes easier said than done. Trust me, I know! However, try to remember that you can’t change the past and you can’t predict the future, so there is no need to obsess over either. Reliving the past over and over, or worrying about the future, only results in a lot of stress and missing out on the present moment. Even with issues looming over the horizon, as long as you are doing what can be done today, problems tend to work themselves out ─ and, sometimes in the strangest of ways!
So, take a deep breath, let go, and keep on going for today! Live in the moment ─ look around ─ take notice of who or what is around you! Family, friends and pets are here now, so take heed and enjoy your time with them!
2. Remember what you have!
So often we find ourselves worrying about what we don’t have! When you find yourself doing this, take a moment to remember and be thankful for what you do have. Your situation might not be ideal, but remember it could always be worse! Taking the time to reflect upon ─ and being thankful for ─ what you have in life can really put things into a new perspective! Plus, it makes your day so much better!
3. Make time for your loved ones!
Every day, make the time! ~ Even if it’s just a little bit of time!
If you are so busy that you are missing out on your kids’ lives, or not spending enough quality time with family members, friends and your pets, then you are truly missing out! You might think, “Oh, there will be time later.” But, what if there isn’t? Do you really want to miss out on spending quality time with them while you can? Do you want the regret later in life that you wish you had spent more time with them? Make the change now! Plus, spending more time with your loved ones makes your day better, and theirs!

4. Get Outdoors!
No matter how busy you are, find the time to get some fresh air! Even five minutes of sunlight can make you feel better. Go for walks ─ reconnect with nature! Studies show that having a connection with nature can relieve your stress and heal your mind!
Furthermore, spending quality time outdoors helps to bring you back to the present, and helps you to reflect upon your life. Breath in the fresh air and feel the goodness!
5. Accomplish at least one thing each day!
You know the feeling that you get when you accomplish something, right? Even the smallest of tasks? Well, even on lazy days, find one thing to accomplish. It can be anything really, and by bringing that sense of accomplishment into your day, you make your day great again!
6. Declutter and create a space that you can enjoy each day!
Get rid of what you don’t need! It just makes your life more simple and less stressful not to have clutter everywhere! This is something that I am still working on myself, so I know what it’s like to have to get rid of things. However, I also know what it feels like when I do ─ a great sense of accomplishment! Plus, it’s such a nice feeling to have that fresh, open space! Once you get rid of your clutter, you can have fun re-decorating if you want to! Create a space in which you can truly enjoy each day!
Just remember not to over-do-it and bring back all that clutter!
7. Watch the sunrise or the sunset! ~ Or, both!
Watching a sunrise or sunset can bring a state of peace and calm into your life. It’s something that you should experience for yourself, in real time, as often as possible. The universe is something bigger than you and me, and it’s amazing. It’s a splendid time to reflect upon your life and to be thankful for what you have! For me, watching a sunrise or sunset makes me smile and feel good, making my day that much better!
In conclusion, make it a habit of making all of your days great! We only have one life to live, so be sure to make the best of it!
